The NWSL Players Association (“NWSLPA”) is the labor union that represents women’s professional soccer players in the NWSL, the top women’s domestic professional soccer league in the United States. Position Description: The Director of Commercial Affairs will oversee the commercial affairs of the NWSLPA. All NWSLPA Staff serve as an advocate for and resource to NWSL Players.
Duties:
- Oversee administration of the NWSLPA’s Group Licensing Program, in coordination with NWSLPA’s Commercial Manager and Executive Director
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, develop the strategic direction of the NWSLPA’s commercial strategy
- Create marketing and commercial opportunities for NWSLPA members
- Develop sponsorable assets
- Develop, plan, and execute NWSLPA events, including the annual NWSLPA Players Party
- Work closely with NWSLPA partners
- Serve as a trusted source for information and guidance
- Foster positive relationships between the NWSLPA and each NWSL Player
- Develop relationships with colleagues at brother and sister Unions to support the labor movement
- Support the work of NWSLPA Leadership to maintain our Union as a formidable force in the NWSL ecosystem
- Provide strategic advice and consultation to the Executive Director
- Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years relevant commercial experience with a union, brand, team, or agency
- Proven capacity to navigate complex dynamics
- Capable of working in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Able and willing to travel and work non-traditional hours
- Proficient with technology, including Airtable, Mailerlite, Zoom, and Excel
