    Location: Ft. Washington, PA

    Employment Type: Full-time | Exempt

    About the Organization:

Access Services is a mission-driven nonprofit organization in eastern Pennsylvania dedicated to empowering individuals with unique needs—whether through mental health services, supports for individuals with an intellectual disability, assistance for at-risk youth and families or those who are unhoused. With a deep commitment to person-centered care, Access Services meets people where they are, walking alongside them with respect and compassion, looking to lead with innovative solutions that truly change the future.

As an organization, we’re not just offering services—we’re building relationships, restoring dignity, and creating opportunities for meaningful lives. Our teams work across a wide range of settings: in homes, communities, schools, and crisis environments. We believe in the potential of every person we serve, and we’re looking for employees who feel the same.

    About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Vice President of People Operations to architect and scale the HR foundation of our dynamic, rapidly growing organization. This visionary leader will be both a strategic partner and an operational powerhouse—overseeing and refining critical people functions, including Talent Acquisition Operations, HR Business Partnerships, Compensation & Benefits, HRIS, Onboarding Logistics, Employee Relations, and Compliance.

In this high-impact role, the VP will work in close partnership with our internal People leader who spearheads Culture, Employee Experience, DEIB, and Learning & Development. Together, they will ensure our People strategy is not only aligned and efficient but also future-focused and inspiring. This is an opportunity to shape the employee journey, elevate organizational effectiveness, and build a People function that’s primed for the next chapter of growth.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Set and execute a long-term vision for People Operations aligned with organizational strategy.
    • Lead and develop a high-performing HR Business Partner team and serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership.
    • Optimize and scale systems and workflows across all areas of HR operations.
    • Oversee talent acquisition processes to ensure efficient and equitable hiring.
    • Manage compensation structures and benefits programs that reflect sector benchmarks and internal equity.
    • Ensure data-driven decision-making through effective HRIS management and reporting.
    • Manage operational aspects of onboarding and offboarding in collaboration with the culture and engagement team to deliver consistent and supportive employee experience.
    • Guide employee relations practices and ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws.
    • Lead risk mitigation and policy governance related to the employee lifecycle.
    • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal laws and program regulatory requirements.
    • Partner across departments to support internal communications, onboarding, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
    • Collaborate closely with the culture and engagement leadership to ensure alignment across operational and experiential people function.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
    • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership
    • Expertise in HR operations, systems, compliance, and people management
    • Strong ability to collaborate across departments and influence executive leadership
    • Experience building scalable HR infrastructure in complex environments

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or other executive-level HR certification
    • Background in nonprofit, regulated, or mission-driven organizations
    • Experience leading transformation or HR modernization initiatives

    Why Join Us:

This is an opportunity to lead the operational heart of a purpose-driven organization committed to community impact, innovation, and inclusive culture. You'll play a critical role in building systems and teams that enable our workforce to thrive.
