Tutor

Southeast Community Foundation is looking for passionate and experienced individuals to join

our diverse team to provide small group tutoring sessions to K-12 students in LAUSD schools

multiple times a week. This is a great opportunity for certified teachers, college graduates,

retired teachers, substitute teachers, and paraprofessionals.

Job details:

• Tutors will earn between $25-$31 per hour, DOE
• Tutoring will occur during after-school hours (will vary between 1pm-6pm)
• Monday through Friday (will vary by site)
• Tutoring sites will be in: South Gate, El Sereno, Vernon, and Hollywood
• The position will be on a part-time basis, with a minimum of a 12-week commitment.
• Opportunities for the full 2025-2026 school year are available!

Qualifications:

• A BA or BS degree required, teaching certificate preferred.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring in ELA and math is highly preferred.
• Experience working with small groups of students is highly preferred.
• Must have TB clearance and pass a background check (costs covered by SCF Foundation)
• Bilingual a plus.
• A fun attitude with the ability to go the extra mile for our students!
