About Us

The Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences at NYU School of Medicine is a division of New York University's Graduate School of the Arts and Sciences (GSAS). Our distinguished faculty, coupled with our interdisciplinary training programs in various basic medical sciences, helps our graduate students prepare for their career in biomedical research and successfully obtain their PhD or MD/PhD in the biomedical sciences. We also offer a summer undergraduate research program (SURP) and Master's degree in Biomedical Informatics. Our mission is to train students to become independent scientists and researchers. Our students learn how to hone their innate curiosity to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, team players, and leader - all skills required when pursuing any career.
