The Barrio la Planta Project

Barrio Planta Project empowers the children and youth of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua and surrounding areas through free supplementary schooling. We serve more than 100 pre-school and school age students from Monday to Friday, either before or after their regular school hours. 

BPP focuses on instilling Creativity through classes in the arts, enhancing Confidence through performance-based activities such as fitness and dance, and promoting international Communication through English and computer literacy skills. We host weekly dinners, monthly field trips, an annual theater workshop, and we incorporate long and short term volunteers into our programming. Through volunteerism, students learn to interact with diverse populations within a positive setting that helps them healthily integrate into the rising tourism industry.
