Ward 8 Farmer's Market

  • About Us

The Ward 8 Farmers' Market Cooperative is dedicated to providing and improving the healthy food options for the residents of Ward 8 and nearby communities. The goal is for people from these communities to eat fresher, more natural and nutritious foods, and adopt healthier lifestyles for the longterm benefit of the individuals, their children and families, and society. We measure success when a child chooses (and is able to choose) an apple over a bag of chips or candy.

The market operates from 9 am to 2 pm at the THEARC, 1901 Mississippi Avenue SE in Washington, DC and features locally produced fruits vegetables, meat, baked goods, fragrances, plants and more.
