About Us

Our mission at The Settlement Home for Children is to promote healing and growth in children, young adults and families by providing a continuum of care, support and resources.

The Settlement Home offers a variety of services and programs to individuals with histories of severe emotional trauma, abuse and neglect.

Our programs include a Residential Treatment Center, Group Home Program, Transitional Living Program and Foster & Adoption Program.

We have several volunteer opportunities available.

Garage & Estate Sale Volunteer - Volunteer with sale preparations in our warehouse on Mondays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Female Volunteer Mentors – We need volunteers to serve as mentors to our female residents. Individuals must commit to one year of service.

Summer Program Volunteer – Share your skills with our children. Teachers commit to regularly scheduled class during the summer sessions. Examples include: music, arts and crafts, etc.

Classroom Aid – Assist residents with school work during the year.

Recreation Volunteer/Holiday Helper

We welcome ideas you may have on how to serve our girls. We have a large track, on campus garden, volleyball court, large gym and other areas that would aid in fun activities. We look forward to hearing from you!
