Our mission is to prevent cervical cancer in low and middle income countries by utilizing low cost yet highly effective technology methods to create sustainable programs through patient education, medical personnel training and facility outfitting.
Cervical Cancer is a leading cause of death among women in low and middle income countries, and it is almost 100% preventable. Education, screening and early treatment of are key to eradicating this disease. PINCC works with local healthcare personnel to detect, diagnose and treat women with precancerous cervical lesions using thermal ablation and LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure). We provide didactic and hands-on training for local healthcare professionals and leave life saving equipment , such as thermocoagulators that are designed for low resource areas with the trained local personnel. By partnering with hospitals and clinics, PINCC establishes lasting programs that ensure ongoing cervical cancer prevention. Our program is part of a network of organizations that are working to achieve the WHO goal that 90% of women worldwide will be screened by 2030.
