The Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF) is a nonprofit organization based in Jacksonville, Florida, but with staff nationwide. MBF was started by Edward E. Burr in 1997 to continue the legacy of Monique Burr in child protection and child advocacy.
MBF is now a leader in prevention education, its programs have reached more than 9 million children in 38 states and 6 countries.
MBF’s Prevention Education Program empowers children, youth, and adults with tailored, age-appropriate information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to the four types of child abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect), exploitation, bullying, cyberbullying, human trafficking, digital abuse, and other digital dangers.
