To help at risk youth to rebuild their self worth
Rebuild A Youth (R.A.Y.) is a New York–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering at-risk young people (ages 13–25) to rediscover their worth, reclaim their stories, and build resilient, purpose-driven lives. At our core, we believe that every youth deserves to see their own value, no matter their background or past hardships.
Who We Serve
At-Risk Youth: Teens and young adults facing academic, social, or emotional challenges—especially those affected by trauma, unstable home environments, or systemic barriers.
Under-Resourced Communities: We prioritize BIPOC and low-income neighborhoods in the NYC metro area, offering both in-person and virtual supports.
Our Values
Empowerment: We help youth turn “I can’t” into “I can”—through skills training, mentoring, and positive reframing.
Empathy: Every program is built on active listening and trauma-informed care, so young people feel seen, heard, and respected.
Integrity: We maintain transparency with our participants, partners, and funders, ensuring all resources directly benefit our programs.
Collaboration: We partner with schools, churches, and local businesses to expand our reach and build a true community safety net.
Signature Program: The Relabeling Project
A structured, multi-week journey where participants:
1. Identify Harmful Labels they’ve internalized (bullying, self-doubt, “not enough,” etc.).
2. Journal & Reflect on the origins of those labels and their impact on self-esteem.
3. Reframe & Affirm positive, truth-based identities through guided exercises and peer support.
4. Practice Solo Self-Care and community “share-outs” to reinforce newfound confidence
