The Riverdale YM-YWHA, located in the Bronx Borough of New York City, is a multi-generational agency providing informal education, leisure time activities, and social services to meet the recreational, social, and cultural needs of the Jewish and the general community. Since 1909, the Y has worked to strengthen Jewish identity, family life and survival, while reinforcing Jewish cultural values and enriching the life of the Jewish community, and society as a whole. The services, programs, and facilities of the Y are available to all residents of the community regardless of race, color, religion, or sex. Membership in the Y is open to all, regardless of financial circumstance. The Y's programs and services are supported by membership and program fees, grants from the UJA/Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, the United Way, foundations and corporations, and through generous contributions from members and supporters.
