    Description

Volunteer to Assist IAD TSA Canine Program Weekly Opportunities

We are seeking volunteers to assist TSA's National Explosive Detection Team Program at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

Your role will be to serve as a decoy and to carry a concealed training aid through an area where a Passenger Screening Canine (PSC) team is conducting search activity. This training keeps the K9's on their toes and stops the bad guys from getting through our checkpoints.

Our dogs are NOT bite dogs! They will not growl, bark or threaten to attack. They have a "passive alert" to signal they have found what they are looking for. Our dogs are here to protect the traveling public, not to harm them.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Please extend this invitation to family members and friends. Minors can assist in the training if accompanied by an adult but will not carry the training aid.

    Location

    On-site
45045 Aviation Drive, Dulles, Virginia, US
