A Plea for Letters of Gratitude for Soldier’s in Harm’s way

Make a difference from the comfort of your own home.

Packages4Patriots strives to include personal letters in every care package that we send. These letters and drawings ensure that a Soldier, Sailor, Marine or Airman knows that you are thinking of them. It will only take 5 minutes out of your day to write a letter, but it will bring joy to our troops that will last a lifetime. Sadly, most months we do not have enough letters and drawings for every care package.

Here is some help to get started:

CHILDREN AND ADULTS

Letters: I write about everything. I include sketches and photos and poems and stories, quotes from what is going on around me and maybe some lyrics from a song. A puzzle, a quiz, a riddle.

Kid’s Art: Don’t ask them to draw anything specific. Just collect them; A common favorite drawing is stick figures of your family and pets in front of your house.

WHAT TO WRITE ABOUT

Keep your message upbeat and positive

Be thankful ~~ share a little bit of yourself

Ask questions; however, do not discuss death or killing

Avoid politics completely and religion in excess

It’s all about appreciation and respect

Ask yourself: "Will this letter bring a smile to someone’s face?"
