Call for Volunteer Fundraisers

Because No Woman Should Die Giving Life

In many remote and underserved communities in Kenya, giving birth is a life-threatening event. Without access to skilled birth attendants, emergency care, or even basic maternal supplies, expectant mothers face preventable complications that often result in death.

At KIF Kenya, we are committed to changing this reality. Through our Maternal Health Program, we aim to improve access to safe delivery services and maternal health education for women in marginalised regions. We are now calling on compassionate, connected individuals from around the world to join us as volunteer fundraisers and help mobilise resources to save lives.

Your Role as a Volunteer Fundraiser

As a volunteer fundraiser, you will act as an international ambassador for our maternal health initiative. You will help raise critical funds to support antenatal care, skilled delivery, clean birth kits, community health outreach, and emergency maternal support in rural Kenya.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and executing fundraising campaigns suited to your region or network
• Identifying and reaching out to potential donors, including individuals, institutions, businesses, and community groups
• Promoting the maternal health program through personal networks, social media, alumni associations, and workplace platforms
• Organising virtual or local fundraising events such as benefit dinners, charity walks, school partnerships, or online giving drives
• Sharing real stories and updates about our work to raise awareness and encourage donor participation
• Collaborating with KIF Kenya’s fundraising coordinator to track your progress and share results

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals with a passion for global health, gender equality, and social impact. You do not need to be a professional fundraiser to join us. We value commitment, creativity, and a willingness to act.

Preferred qualifications include:

• A strong desire to contribute to meaningful change in maternal health
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Experience in fundraising, event planning, or digital campaigns is an added advantage
• Access to a network or community where you can promote the cause
• Willingness to dedicate at least 4 to 6 hours per week, with flexible scheduling
