If you have a passion for literature, history, Robert Louis Stevenson, and the Napa Valley? Do you want to use your talents to be a steward of a world renowned legacy? The Robert Louis Stevenson Museum is currently seeking 2 talented and passionate individuals to serve on the Board of Trustees.
The Board of the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum is an intimate group of professionals who have a passion for preserving the legacy of author Robert Louis Stevenson (creator of classics such as Treasure Island and Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde) and serving our local and global community. As a globally recognized and beloved author, it is important to the Board and staff of the RLSM that Stevenson is continually preserved and shared with the entire community.
Prospective members, ideally, will be members of the immediate Napa Valley community, but candidates can be considered from the greater SF Bay Area. Exclusively remote board members are not able to be considered. The Board meets every other month and holds sub committee meetings as needed. Board members are expected to serve for a minimum of 3 years.
This is an exciting opportunity to help a small, treasured institution grow into the 21st century and keep the life, legacy, and story of Stevenson alive!
It is essential that we get to know all prospective candidates. Please include a cover letter and resume introducing yourself, your interest in the RLSM, and what you feel you will bring to the table. We value your time and ours. If you are interested in learning more please include these materials. Lack of materials may result in refusal.
All candidates must answer this question: What is your favorite work by Robert Louis Stevenson?
