What We’re Looking For
- 2-4 years of experience in political advocacy, government relations, public policy, or Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Government, or related field
- Knowledge of Ukrainian
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze and synthesize complex information.
- Proficient in Google Drive and familiarity with policy research tools (e.g., LegiStorm, GovTrack).
- Excellent writing skills for drafting policy materials.
- Familiarity with the US political landscape at the federal and state levels.
- A passion for public policy and advocacy.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct research on politicians, legislative proposals, and public policy trends.
- Draft policy recommendations, position papers, and materials for meetings with elected officials.
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with political offices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our advocacy strategies.
- Provide logistical support for advocacy events and coalition-building efforts.
Work conditions
- Volunteer role (unpaid).
- Remote work with collaboration via Slack and Asana.
- Reports to Associate Director of Community Engagement.
