    Description

    Project Overview:

Join the Rebecca Everlene Trust Company team as an Experienced Rigging Artist. In this role, you will refine FBX files and Blender models to meet our project’s artistic and technical standards. Your expertise will bring static models to life by creating dynamic rigs for characters, props, vehicles, and other CG assets, ensuring they perform seamlessly within our game engine.

    Responsibilities:

    • Enhance FBX files and Blender models to align with project specifications.
    • Create, maintain, and expand rigs for characters, props, vehicles, and CG objects. Develop comprehensive rigs (e.g., for facial expressions, limb movements) that allow for complex animations.
    • Work closely with the animation team to design intuitive, responsive rigs that meet performance requirements. Coordinate with the modeling department to ensure models are rig-ready.
    • Adhere to rigging technical standards and ensure all rigs are pipeline friendly and compatible with Unity.
    • Interpret Animation Director’s notes, deliver multiple rigging options, and iterate based on feedback to achieve the optimal artistic direction.
    • Stay current with new software and techniques, build tools to solve pipeline issues, and mentor junior artists to foster growth.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in UV mapping, sculpting, low poly modeling, PBR, channel packing, texturing, rigging, and animating.
    • Experience: At least 1+ years of hands-on experience with Blender, with a strong portfolio showcasing character modeling and animation work.
    • Software & Tools: Familiarity with Unity game development is preferred. Experience using Slack, Monday.com, and Clockify is a plus.
    • Professional Attributes: Detail-oriented, creative, resourceful, and a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
    • Additional Requirements: Must be willing to undergo a $10 background check via Sterling and commit at least 15 hours per week to the project.
    • Passion: A keen interest in video games, educational content, and innovative game design is highly desirable.

    Work Hours and Location:

    • Remote Opportunity: Enjoy a flexible, remote schedule while collaborating with our diverse team of industry professionals.
