    Lesson Assistant Volunteers

    Volunteer Opportunity at REINS: Side Walkers & Horse Leaders Needed!

    Are you passionate about horses and helping others? Join the REINS team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our riders by volunteering as a Side Walker or Horse Leader!

    Side Walkers play a vital role in our therapeutic riding lessons. As a Side Walker, you’ll assist the instructor by walking alongside the rider to help ensure their safety and support throughout the lesson. No prior horse experience is necessary-just a willingness to learn, be engaged, and make a difference.

    Horse Leaders work directly with our horses, guiding them safely and calmly during lessons. Because our horses are handled by many volunteers each day, consistency is key. All Horse Leaders must complete our Leading Method training to ensure our herd is led with care and in a standardized way. Even if you have horse experience, we ask that you attend this training before taking on a leadership role.
