    Description

Could you spare a couple of hours per week? Hospice Companion and Caregiver Respite

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back and are interested in volunteering with Hospice patients? Volunteers are an extremely integral part of our Enhabit Hospice Team and the end-of-life care we provide.

We are currently looking for patient care volunteers who provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members.

    This can include the following:

    • Providing companionship & socializing with our patients in their own homes or facilities.
    • Playing games, watching TV, reading, playing music/listening to music with the patient, or simply visiting with the patient.
    • Providing caregiver relief where you spend time with the patient in their home and allow the primary caregiver to leave and attend doctor appointments, grocery shop or simply run errands.

We are always flexible with your schedule, we work around you. We strive to make sure you're comfortable with your placement before beginning your hospice volunteer journey.

Come join the Enhabit Hospice Volunteer TEAM!

Be a part of our special team of Enhabit Hospice Volunteers. We care for our patients in the place they call home -- a private residence, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, or other inpatient setting. Just a few hours a week can make a lasting impact on the lives of others.
