    Description

Henry Ford Hospice is seeking licensed cosmetologists and barbers who are interested in providing in-home haircuts to our patients. Use your talents to enrich the life of a hospice patient. Many of our patients are no longer able to travel outside their home. Please share your skills and aid in enriching our patients’ self- esteem.

Our patients reside in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and surrounding communities. Visits can take place in the their homes, as well as nursing homes, assisted living, memory care, group homes, and hospitals.

Volunteers will be provided with ongoing one-on-one staff support throughout their service with us, and will be invited to receive educational opportunities, and appreciation events. Our volunteers must complete an application, interview, background checks, hospice orientation, fingerprinting, and must provide a copy of current license. Please call us at 586.276.9555 to discuss this chance to pamper a person in need.

Thank you for considering this enriching and unique volunteer opportunity.
