    Description

    Board Member - Mental Health Advocate

    We Are Beautiful Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families impacted by the justice system to prioritize mental health and develop confidence. We are seeking a board member passionate about trauma-informed care, emotional wellness, and mental health advocacy to help us further this mission.

    This board role will directly support our mission by enhancing our Reentry Resource Packet (distributed to justice-impacted individuals) and contributing to a separate Support Group Workbook for use in Spring 2026 group sessions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Suggest healing-centered content (e.g., affirmations, tools, prompts)

    • Review materials for tone and accessibility

    • Recommend mental health resources or contributors

    • Attend quarterly board meetings and offer insight on programming

    Ideal for: Therapists, counselors, MSW/psych grad students, or lived-experience advocates
