    Hospice Volunteer Program

    Medi Home Health & Hospice is looking for caring and passionate individuals to join our interdisciplinary team to provide services to patients and their families with terminal illnesses and/or provide support to the Hospice Program in the Watauga, Ashe, and Alleghany County Areas.

    Volunteers provide services related to:

    • Direct Patient Care - Companionship, Family Respite, 11th Hour Vigils.
    • Administrative Duties - Filing Records, Data Entry, Bereavement Support, Patient Information Packets.
    • Special Projects - Craft Projects, Holiday Caroling, Assisting with Memorial Events.

    • Orientation or Training
    • Well work with your schedule. Flexible hours based on your availability and the family/patient need. A 6-month commitment is desired but not required.
    • Under 18 years old, need a guardian consent. Volunteer Application, TB test (provided), References, Training Program, Ongoing Education as Needed.
