    Description

Adult Literacy Tutor in Colusa County, CA

Adult Literacy Tutors provide 1 hour per week, one-on-one, in-person tutoring to adults struggling to read and write in their community. Tutors assist adult learners in meeting their personal reading and writing goals. The program provides all materials.

We offer tutoring at our libraries in Colusa, Williams, Arbuckle, Grimes, Princeton, Stonyford, and Maxwell.

No previous experience necessary, just a desire to help someone else! Tutors are required to complete a 1-hour program orientation, 3-hour tutor training, and livescan.

The Literacy Program is a free service of the Colusa County Free Library and is paid for with funds from California Library Literacy Services. Please contact Literacy Coordinator Pam DaGrossa for more information (530-458-0373, pdagrossa@countyofcolusaca.gov).
