HR Volunteer Recruiter

About the role

Creshendo is looking for a proactive, empathetic, and mission-driven Volunteer Recruiter to join our HR Team. In this role, you’ll take the lead in attracting and selecting new volunteers who are passionate about supporting refugee and migrant voices. From crafting listings to coordinating interviews, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of our volunteer team.

You’ll collaborate closely with Director of HR and team leads to understand evolving team needs and ensure a smooth, people-first recruitment process. This role is ideal for someone who loves connecting with others, has a keen eye for potential, and enjoys building inclusive and supportive communities.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and post engaging volunteer listings across platforms
• Screen incoming applications
• Maintain a candidate pipeline and keep recruitment documentation up to date
• Coordinate with team leads to identify evolving volunteer needs
• Support the development of fair, inclusive, and people-centered recruitment practices
• Collaborate on different HR projects based on your interests and team needs

Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with new people and representing the organization
• Passion for community-building, inclusion, and volunteerism
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to a remote team
• Previous HR or recruiting experience
