Do you need volunteer hours for school, or are you a retiree eager to make a difference? Play a vital role in our lifesaving mission by volunteering as a part of the Thank You Crew, where you’ll be the first point of contact for our blood donors at mobile blood drives. Your friendly face and exceptional customer service will help ensure that donors feel appreciated and valued, while supporting our collections staff and promoting donor safety.

What Thank You Crew Volunteers Do:

As a Thank You Crew volunteer, you will welcome and assist blood donors, embodying OBI’s commitment to outstanding service. You’ll oversee the donor sign-in process and monitor donor scheduling and flow. You’ll monitor donors in the refreshment area for any reactions and set up and distribute OBI promotions, including t-shirts and giveaways, to keep the energy high and spirits uplifted. You will distribute educational materials and promote OBI through engaging activities, like giveaways and special events.

What We’re Looking For:

We need friendly individuals with excellent communication skills who are attentive, dependable, and prompt. A willingness to engage with donors and a commitment to mobility are essential for this role.

Time Commitment:

• Thank You Crew volunteers are asked to commit to one 4-hour shift every other week and assist with special events as they arise.

• Oklahoma City (OKC) Volunteers
  • Edmond, Norman, Midwest City, Del City, Moore, Mustang, Yukon, Arcadia, Bethany, El Reno, Guthrie, Jones, Luther, Spencer, Piedmont
• Weatherford, Oklahoma and surrounding areas volunteers
• Shawnee, Oklahoma and surrounding areas volunteers
