    Description

Tutors - Eaton Fire Impacted Schools

Six schools in the Pasadena Unified School District had to relocate after the Eaton Fire. The students faced drastic changes in personal and school life. They need extra support and care to recover emotionally and catch up in learning.

Tzu Chi Education Foundation and its volunteers started visiting 2 schools in PUSD to provide tutoring in March. We are continuing this educational support in the Fall and would love to have more volunteers joining us in this meaningful action.

We need Readers who will lead a small group of students to read books word by word.

We also need Math Tutors who are patient and are willing to repeat simple math questions to students.

The students are 2nd and 3rd graders. We are meeting Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9 -11 AM. If you can only participate for 1 hour, that's no problem.
