    About Future Leaders Initiative SL

    Future Leaders Initiative SL (FLI SL) is a child and women-led nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting children’s rights, dignity, education, peace, and transformation in Sierra Leone. Our organization works through community advocacy, media, and technology to educate, empower, promote, and protect vulnerable children, women, and girls. The Strong Start Scholarship provides non-financial support to talented school children facing hardship, equipping them with the essential tools they need to excel.

    We are seeking a passionate Scholarship & School Supply Drive Coordinator to help us collect and distribute books, pens, laptops, and other essential school supplies to deserving children.

    Volunteer Role: Strong Start Scholarship & School Supply Drive Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities:

    School Supply Collection & Fundraising:

    • Secure donations of books, pens, backpacks, laptops, and other school essentials from companies, individuals, and organizations.
    • Organize fundraising campaigns to cover shipment costs for donated materials.
    • Partner with international schools and bookstores to set up supply drives and donation events.

    Strong Start Scholarship Support:

    • Work with FLI SL to identify talented students in need and match them with available supplies.
    • Engage with schools to gather information on urgent student needs and track impact.

    Logistics & Distribution:

    • Coordinate shipment and customs clearance of donated materials to Sierra Leone.
    • Work with local volunteers school teachers to distribute school supplies to scholarship recipients.

    Advocacy & Awareness:

    • Promote the Strong Start Scholarship through social media, newsletters, and outreach campaigns.
    • Connect with educational nonprofits and organizations to expand scholarship support.
