English Language Teacher

Are you passionate about language education and interested in making a direct impact in a vibrant, community-centered environment? The Jenin Creative Cultural Centre (J3C) is seeking a committed English Language Teacher to support our ongoing educational programming for youth and community members.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered English lessons to children, teens, and/or adults depending on program needs
• Support learners at a range of levels with a focus on speaking, listening, and practical communication skills
• Adapt lessons to incorporate themes relevant to students’ lives and cultural contexts
• Collaborate with J3C staff to align instruction with the Centre’s broader educational and cultural goals
• Participate in occasional community activities or events to help foster trust and connection

Qualifications (Preferred):

• Previous teaching or tutoring experience, especially in ESL or EFL contexts
• TESOL/TEFL certification or relevant academic background
• Experience working with youth or in cross-cultural settings

Qualifications (Required):

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, adaptability, and sensitivity to cultural differences
• Commitment to J3C’s mission of cultural empowerment, community engagement, and education

Additional Details:

• Minimum commitment of two months required, with preference for longer stays
• Shared, basic on-site accommodations are available for volunteers:
  • €25/day for stays under one month
  • €20/day for stays over one month
  • Includes internet, water, and electricity (food not included)
• Volunteers may also choose to arrange their own housing in the community
• Language support available; Arabic is a plus but not required
• Orientation and ongoing support provided by J3C staff
