    Description

    Animal Transporter

    Volunteer Animal Transporters play a vital role in animal rescue. They safely transport cats and dogs from overcrowded shelters or to vet appointments and adoption events. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a flexible yet impactful way to contribute to animal welfare.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Safely transport animals from overcrowded shelters and to foster homes, vet clinics and adoption events.
    • Follow instructions regarding pick-up/drop-off locations and animal care during transit.
    • Ensure the comfort and safety of animals using provided carriers and supplies.
    • Communicate effectively with HSLC volunteers and foster families.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
    • Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional transport requests.
    • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Commitment to HSLC's mission and animal welfare.
