    Description

Henry Ford Hospice is seeking veteran volunteers to honor and support our veteran hospice patients. As a veteran volunteer, you can provide the practical and emotional support to our patients and their families when they need it the most.

Our patients reside in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and surrounding communities. Visits can take place in their homes, as well as, nursing homes, assisted living, memory care units, group homes and hospitals.

Volunteers will be provided with ongoing one-to-one staff support throughout their service with us, and will be invited to receive educational opportunities, and appreciation events. Our volunteers must complete an application, interview, background checks, hospice orientation, fingerprinting and two-tier TB test. Please call us at 586.276.9555 to discuss this chance to enlist your services to aid in supporting a veteran hospice patient.

Thank you for considering this enriching and unique volunteer opportunity.
