    Description

    Group Facilitator

    Thosps & Saak, is a nonprofit organization supporting single parents, domestic violence survivors, and children who has experienced trauma.

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Group Facilitator to lead and guide our support group sessions for Women & Teens every other Saturday. You will create a safe, respectful, and engaging environment where participants feel heard, valued, and encouraged to share their experiences.

    Responsibilities:

    Lead group discussions, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to participate.

    Foster a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere.

    Guide conversations using prepared topics or agendas.

    Manage group dynamics and handle sensitive topics with empathy and discretion.

    Collaborate with the program coordinator to plan and improve sessions.

    Ideal Volunteer:

    Excellent listening and communication skills.

    Empathetic, respectful, and patient.

    Comfortable facilitating conversations in a group setting.

    Able to maintain confidentiality and boundaries.

    Prior experience in group work, counseling, or facilitation (preferred but not required).
