    Description

    About Us

International SEVA is a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting underprivileged and special needs children and their caretakers through education, nutrition, and intergenerational support. Our services are no cost to the communities we serve.

We provide educational supplies, meals, and hygiene kits to children in India and would like to start a Microgreens Project in Virginia that fosters community engagement and nutrition access.

    Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to help secure foundation, local or private grants ranging from $75K to $350K to support our education and nutrition initiatives. Identified grant opportunities will be provided, but additional research into new funding sources is welcome.

This is a remote, flexible volunteer role focused on crafting compelling LOIs and grant proposals while working with our team to meet submission deadlines.

    Responsibilities

    • Currently have a grant opportunity and need help to apply.
    • Write clear, concise, and persuasive LOIs and full grant proposals.
    • Ensure grant applications align with funder priorities and nonprofit impact.
    • Work with our team to gather essential program details and budget information.
    • Track submitted applications and conduct necessary follow-ups.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in grant writing for nonprofits.
    • Strong research and writing skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
    • Familiarity with U.S. foundation grants is a plus.
    • Experience with education, youth, and nutrition-related grants preferred.
