Description
Help protect endangered Hawksbill and Green turtles through in-water monitoring and photo ID research in the Marine Protected Area surrounding Nosy Komba. MRCI’s Turtle Monitoring Program combines conservation, snorkelling, and data collection.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting snorkel surveys to identify individual turtles
- Recording behaviours, habitat use, and environmental data
- Uploading sightings to global databases like Internet of Turtles
- Supporting education and outreach activities on turtle conservation
Qualifications:
- Comfortable swimming/snorkelling
- Interest in marine biology and conservation
- Basic data recording and observation skills
