    Description

    Hospice Care - Companionship Volunteer

If you are searching for a meaningful way to impact the lives of others, you belong here. Hospice volunteers are an incredibly important part of our care team. Our patients and families love our volunteers, and the time you spend with them is invaluable. No matter your skills, talents, or interests, we have the opportunity for you to enhance their comfort and well-being during a very significant stage of their life.

Here are just some of the things you could do as a companionship volunteer: read aloud, share stories, look at photos, do arts and crafts, help care for pets, play games, do puzzles, play music or sing, run errands, do light housework, cook or bake, write letters or cards, and watch TV.

To become a volunteer, all you need is a compassionate heart. Our volunteer training will teach you everything you need to know. Training and orientation are arranged to fit your schedule, and you will be provided with an assignment the fits your schedule, location, and interests. Our office is located in Simpsonville, but we have volunteer opportunities in the counties of Greenville, Spartanburg, Pickens, Laurens, and Anderson.
