    Description

As part of Visitor Services, the Oregon State Capitol Store serves Capitol occupants and visitors every weekday from 9am-4pm.

Volunteers process orders, stock shelves, get first look at new, specialty merchandise, and learn more about the legislature.

Every day, you'll see State Representatives and Senators grabbing lunch, buying gifts for staff, or outfitting their desks with the perfect accessory.

You'll help visiting schools buy their souvenirs.

You'll chat with visitors from all over the country and world hoping to take home a little piece of Oregon.

    You'll gain skills like:

    • Merchandising
    • Cash Handling
    • Customer Service
    • Using a Point of Sale (POS)
    • Understanding the Legislative Process

Our Capitol Store Volunteers are our longest-serving, and highest retention rate! It's much more than retail, it's a community and a lot of fun.
