    Description

On Saturday, May 17th, the Hopewell-Prince George Friends of the Library is hosting its semi-annual Bagful of Books sale at the Hopewell Library. Bring a standard-sized grocery bag or reusable tote (or as many as you want), and fill each bag with as many books as you can fit in each bag. You pay $2 per bag. However, we need volunteers in order to make this a successful event. On Friday, May 16th, starting at 10am, we'll start setting up tables and moving boxes of books (which can be quite heavy) into the large meeting room where we are having the sale. Then, we need to sort books by genre onto tables. Many of the boxes are labeled making the job easier. We'll work until 4pm. The day of the sale (May 17th) we need help restocking books, selling Friends of the Library membership for early access, and other tasks. While the sale lasts from 11am to 2pm, Friends of the Library members can shop an hour early at 10am. I'm asking that volunteers arrive at 9am so we can prepare for our early bird shoppers. If you have any questions about volunteering, please feel free to email me at jnickerson@arls.org.
