    Description

    Position Overview:

    We are offering an exciting internship opportunity for a Grant Writer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in preparing and submitting grant applications, conducting research, and identifying funding opportunities in the areas of Education, Vocational, and Technology. This internship provides valuable experience for students pursuing degrees in fields such as Creative Writing, Communication, Marketing & Public Relations, and Journalism.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in preparing and submitting grant applications under the guidance of the Grant Writing team.
    • Conduct research to identify public and private grant opportunities relevant to our organization’s programs and initiatives.
    • Support the development of compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate our organization’s mission, goals, and impact.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
    • Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes using database management systems.
    • Provide administrative support to the Grant Writing team as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Creative Writing, Communication, Marketing & Public Relations, Journalism, Sociology, Urban and Regional Planning, or related field.
    • Strong writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Highly organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes effectively.
    • Ability to work under pressure, use independent judgment, and meet deadlines.
    • Passion for our organization’s mission and commitment to making a difference in the community.
