Role Overview:
The Social Media Volunteer will support the planning, creation, scheduling, and reporting of content across our social media platforms. You’ll play a key role in helping us connect with our audience, raise awareness about limb loss, and drive engagement for events, fundraisers, and support programs.
Responsibilities:
Design graphics and promotional content using Canva (posts, stories, infographics, event flyers)
Draft engaging captions and hashtags that reflect our tone and mission
Schedule and manage posts using Hootsuite (or be willing to learn)
Collaborate with staff to support monthly campaigns, event promotions, and awareness days
Upload and organize content in Google Drive for team collaboration
Help monitor post engagement and gather insights for reporting
Suggest new trends or platform features that could benefit our outreach
Qualifications:
Experience using Canva to create visually appealing content
Familiarity with Hootsuite (or willingness to learn quickly - training available)
Comfortable using Google Drive for file sharing and collaboration
Strong writing and communication skills
A good eye for design, tone, and brand consistency
Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable meeting deadlines
Passion for disability rights, nonprofit work, or storytelling through social media
