    Social media volunteer

    Role Overview:

    The Social Media Volunteer will support the planning, creation, scheduling, and reporting of content across our social media platforms. You’ll play a key role in helping us connect with our audience, raise awareness about limb loss, and drive engagement for events, fundraisers, and support programs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design graphics and promotional content using Canva (posts, stories, infographics, event flyers)

    • Draft engaging captions and hashtags that reflect our tone and mission

    • Schedule and manage posts using Hootsuite (or be willing to learn)

    • Collaborate with staff to support monthly campaigns, event promotions, and awareness days

    • Upload and organize content in Google Drive for team collaboration

    • Help monitor post engagement and gather insights for reporting

    • Suggest new trends or platform features that could benefit our outreach

    Qualifications:

    • Experience using Canva to create visually appealing content

    • Familiarity with Hootsuite (or willingness to learn quickly - training available)

    • Comfortable using Google Drive for file sharing and collaboration

    • Strong writing and communication skills

    • A good eye for design, tone, and brand consistency

    • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable meeting deadlines

    • Passion for disability rights, nonprofit work, or storytelling through social media
