Description
Many cats come to our shelter fearful, timid and shy. This behavior is due to abandonment, lack of socialization and proper handling. Your help is needed to show these cats kindness in a controlled and supportive manner to prepare them for adoption.
Volunteer applicants must be available Monday through Friday as the shelter is too active on the weekends with adoptions and events. Applicants must be willing to work with the shy, timid and sometimes tougher cats. (Training is provided.)
We do NOT accept:
- court ordered community service
- school project hours
- people under 18, even if accompanied by an adult
- less than a six-month commitment
