    About This Role

    Do you have ideas about how to fix our democracy and create a more just society? As our Issue Analyst, you'll research, develop, and champion the policy solutions that will define progressive governance for years to come. Join our policy team to turn progressive values into actionable legislation and advocacy campaigns.

    What You'll Do

    • Research and analyze critical policy areas affecting democratic governance and social justice
    • Develop comprehensive policy proposals and legislative frameworks
    • Facilitate strategic discussions on emerging issues and priority areas
    • Collaborate with policy experts, advocates, and community leaders nationwide
    • Create accessible policy summaries and advocacy materials for public consumption
    • Support the development of our comprehensive policy platform
    • Monitor legislative developments and provide timely analysis

    Qualifications

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, law, or related field
    • 2+ years experience in policy research, analysis, or advocacy
    • Strong research and analytical writing skills
    • Understanding of federal and state legislative processes
    • Familiarity with progressive policy priorities and current political landscape
    • Experience working in government, think tanks, or advocacy organizations
    • Specific expertise in areas like voting rights, criminal justice reform, economic justice, or climate policy
    • Experience translating complex policy into accessible public communications
    • Familiarity with policy research tools and databases
