Volunteer Funding Professionals (Remote, 4–6 hrs/week) – Help Afghan Girls Access Education

Victory Afghanistan is a grassroots U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit currently in its fifth semester of operations. We provide free, high-quality education and leadership development to over 800 girls and young women in Afghanistan, where gender apartheid has banned them from attending school or university.

We are now seeking 4 experienced funding professionals to join our volunteer team for the upcoming semester (mid-July to mid-November). You’ll play a vital role in helping us raise funds for several key initiatives, including:

• Purchasing laptops for students
• Covering monthly internet data costs
• Building our higher education fund
• Supporting our mental health programme
• Sustaining our core staffing and infrastructure
• And five other evolving projects across education and gender equity

What We’re Looking For:

We welcome volunteers from across the funding landscape—grant writers, CSR professionals, institutional fundraisers, individual giving strategists, and more. We’re particularly interested in those with experience in:

• Education, gender, international development, or mental health sectors
• Grant writing and donor communications
• Coaching or mentoring junior teams
• U.S.-based fundraising (preferred, as we are registered in Chicago)

Your Role:

• Commit 4–6 hours per week (flexible) from July 21 to November 21
• Remotely lead and mentor a small team of Afghan project coordinators
• Take ownership of one key fundraising area (e.g., laptops, mental health)
• Report to and collaborate with our volunteer Funding Manager
• Provide strategic guidance, help shape proposals, and delegate tasks
