Working under the direction of the Logistics Manager, Logistics Team Members support all operational and physical aspects of camp — from setting up activities and transporting supplies to managing transitions and solving problems on the fly.

This position is perfect for individuals who are organized, reliable, energetic, and eager to contribute meaningfully to CGM!’s mission of supporting grieving children.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Set Up and Break Down Activities:
      • Assist in the preparation, setup, and cleanup of scheduled camp activities, workshops, meals, and ceremonies.
      • Ensure that supplies are available, spaces are functional, and equipment is safely handled and returned to proper locations.
    • Support Camp Transitions:
      • Help coordinate group movement between activities (e.g., wake-up, meals, group sessions, lights out).
      • Provide visual or verbal cues when needed to help campers and staff stay on schedule.
    • Manage Supplies and Inventory:
      • Organize and distribute supplies for arts & crafts, group activities, recreational events, and support groups.
      • Monitor supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to the Logistics Coordinator or Camp Director.
    • Provide On-the-Ground Support:
      • Respond quickly and calmly to unexpected needs (e.g., forgotten items, broken equipment, missing supplies).
      • Serve as a go-to resource for staff and volunteers needing logistical assistance throughout the weekend.
    • Collaborate with Camp Leadership:
      • Maintain close communication with the Logistics Manager, Program Director, and Executive Director to stay aware of schedule changes, priorities, and needs.
      • Participate in pre-camp setup and post-camp breakdown duties.
    • Support a Safe Environment:
      • Ensure pathways and activity areas are clear, safe, and accessible.
      • Notify staff of any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
    • Participate in Team Meetings and Debriefs:
      • Attend logistical team huddles and contribute ideas for smoother operations.
