    Description

Take a Meaningful Career Break: Volunteer in India! (No program fees)

Shanti Bhavan’s top-notch volunteers help break the cycle of poverty by contributing to our children’s world-class education. Volunteering at Shanti Bhavan is an experience unlike any other. Your work as a volunteer at our school will be challenging, culturally enriching, and life-changing.

Our volunteers contribute through co-teaching, tutoring students, and supporting seasonal extracurricular activities such as dance, sports, and public speaking. Volunteers mentor students in academics and life skills and spark joy through play-based enrichment activities—all while encouraging and inspiring our students by introducing them to new ideas and cultures!

Shanti Bhavan is a boarding school with a tight schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Volunteers are expected to support all academic activities during school hours and assist with co-curricular programming in the evenings. They will work alongside the full-time teaching staff to provide guidance primarily focused on students in grades 2 through 6. The school is accredited by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) in New Delhi.

Shanti Bhavan provides all volunteers with free on-campus accommodations and meals. You can visit our website's 'Volunteer FAQ' section to learn more about the volunteer experience. https://www.shantibhavanchildren.org/volunteer-faqs/
