No prior experience is required and training will be provided. This opportunity is not physically challenging and is performed indoors.
Description
Our rehab room in Maple Park houses newly rescued pigeons who are going through a medication protocol or are sick or injured. We need volunteers to maintain the room and provide care to the birds.
Tasks include:
- Providing fresh food and water
- Swapping eggs with fake eggs
- Changing puppy pads in cages
- Sweeping
- Washing dishes
- Assisting with projects as needed
Volunteers less than 16 years old must be accompanied at all times by a parent/guardian/adult.
GLPR can provide mileage reimbursement if needed.
