    Description

Volt Europa’s HR team is looking for a volunteer who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the tech side of people operations. You’ll work alongside our HR leads and team members to improve internal tools, automate repetitive processes, and troubleshoot operational bottlenecks across recruitment, onboarding, and volunteer management. This is a support role, perfect for someone who’s passionate about building efficient systems and enjoys bridging the gap between people and tech. You don’t need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable with tools like Notion, Google Sheets, Airtable, Zapier, or similar, and eager to learn more.

Time commitment: a few hours per week, flexible around your schedule.

    You will

    • Collaborate with the HR team to audit and improve existing processes(recruitment flows, onboarding journeys, volunteer tracking, etc.)
    • Recommend and implement low-code/no-code tools to reduce manual work and increase clarity across teams.
    • Support the team with automation, file management, forms, dashboards, and internal documentation.
    • Troubleshoot inefficiencies and find practical, sustainable solutions.
    • Be a sparring partner for HR strategy with a tech-savvy perspective.

    You are…

    • Comfortable with digital tools like Notion, Google Workspace, Airtable, or automations like Zapier or Make (Integromat).
    • Someone who enjoys simplifying complex systems and making things work behind the scenes.
    • Interested in people and organizational design, even if your background is more tech or ops than traditional HR.
    • Experienced working (or volunteering) in remote-first teams, ideally in NGOs or international communities.
    • A self-starter who can manage your own time and jump into new challenges with curiosity and energy.

    You have

    • A passion for Volt’s mission of creating a united, progressive, and pragmatic Europe.
    • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
    • A proactive mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with both tech and non-tech teammates.
    • An eye for detail, especially when it comes to forms, data, and systems that affect people directly.

We know these skills are in high demand and not always easy to find, so if you’re unsure, apply anyway! To apply, please upload your CV, a one-page cover letter, and a short introduction using the form below.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to email us at humanresources@volteuropa.org. This is a volunteer unpaid position.
