    Description

    1. Pageant Runner

    Overview: Serve as the go-to communicator between the backstage team, stage manager, and event coordinators.

    Duties: Deliver messages, cue contestants, escort special guests, and ensure the program flows smoothly. Requires quick thinking and comfort moving throughout the venue.

    1. Judges Tabulator

    Overview: Accurately collect and record scores from the judging panel.

    Duties: Retrieve completed score sheets, verify calculations, and submit final tallies to the stage manager. Attention to detail and confidentiality are essential.

    1. Dressing Room Assistant

    Overview: Provide behind-the-scenes help for contestants preparing for each segment.

    Duties: Assist with wardrobe changes, organize accessories, keep the area neat, and offer calm, supportive presence for participants.

    1. Raffle Ticket Runner

    Overview: Boost the excitement of fundraising efforts throughout the event.

    Duties: Sell raffle tickets to audience members, handle cash or digital payments, and report totals to the fundraising lead.

    1. Cleanup & Breakdown Crew

    Overview: Leave the Newark Museum of Art venue spotless and ready for reopening.

    Duties: Collect trash and recyclables, pack up decorations, move equipment, and assist with loading materials into vehicles.

    1. Event Support Aide

    Overview: Float wherever extra hands are needed before, during, and after the pageant.

    Duties: Assist with registration, help guests find seats, distribute programs, or run quick errands for coordinators.

    1. Social Media & Marketing Aide

    Overview: Capture and share the energy of the pageant across Eyes Like Mine Inc. platforms.

    Duties: Take photos and short videos (with participant consent), post live updates, engage with comments, and help draft follow-up content.

    1. Greeter

    Overview: Offer a warm welcome to contestants, guests, and VIP speakers.

    Duties: Check tickets or registrations, provide directions inside the museum, hand out event materials, and answer basic questions.

    1. Zoom Breakout Room Assistant

    Overview: Support the virtual audience or hybrid segments.

    Duties: Admit participants, manage breakout rooms for networking or Q&A, monitor chat, and provide tech help.

    1. Awards & Prizes Assistant

    Overview: Ensure a flawless awards presentation.

    Duties: Organize trophies, sashes, and gift bags; hand items to presenters at the correct time; double-check contestant names.

    1. Snack & Beverage Runner

    Overview: Keep volunteers and participants refreshed.

    Duties: Distribute water, snacks, and light refreshments to dressing rooms, staff tables, and judges’ areas.

    1. Accessibility Guide

    Overview: Offer direct assistance to guests or contestants with vision loss or mobility needs.

    Duties: Provide sighted guide services, describe surroundings, and help locate restrooms, seating, or exits.

    1. Audio/Visual Support

    Overview: Assist the technical crew with sound, lighting, and slideshows.

    Duties: Run microphones, manage cables, and relay cues from the stage manager.

    1. Registration & Check-In Desk

    Overview: First stop for attendees.

    Duties: Confirm reservations, issue badges or wristbands, and provide schedules.

    1. Decor & Stage Setup Crew

    Overview: Create the pageant atmosphere.

    Duties: Arrange signage, flowers, and stage props before the event; remove items afterward.

    1. Makeup Assistant

    Overview: Provide on-site beauty support to ensure contestants feel confident and camera-ready.

    Duties: Assist professional makeup artists with setup and clean-up, organize cosmetics and tools, offer light touch-ups (with each contestant’s consent), sanitize products between uses, and coordinate timing with Dressing Room Assistants.
