Support and guide at-risk Richmond youth, many of whom are directly and indirectly impacted by juvenile system involvement. Our program connects caring mentors with young people, providing positive support, encouragement, and guidance to help them build brighter futures. Mentors and mentees develop meaningful relationships through regular, structured meetings, offering stable support and role modeling during critical years of development.
Please note that all volunteers must be 21 years or older and commit to approximately one hour a week for a year. Since our program is community-based, mentors take youth out into the community, which tends to be easier if volunteers have access to a car.
There is a background check fee associated with the program to ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants.
