    Volunteer Opportunity: Experienced Backend Developer (Multiple Positions)

    Organization: Santos Creations Educational Foundation (SCEF) & Pancokrato Integrated Services (PKIS)

    Volunteer Role: Frontend Developer

    We are seeking experienced Backend Developers to contribute to our diverse platforms. Volunteers will work with modern technologies and collaborate with teams to develop scalable and efficient backend systems for both web and mobile applications.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js, Python (Django/FastAPI), PHP (Laravel), or Java (Spring Boot).
    • Design and optimize databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase.
    • Ensure application security, performance, and scalability.
    • Collaborate with frontend developers and other teams to ensure seamless integration of APIs and services.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues to enhance application stability.
    • Contribute to the overall technical documentation and codebase improvements.
    Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Experience with backend frameworks and technologies such as Node.js, Django, FastAPI, Laravel, or Spring Boot.
    • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
    • Experience in API development, authentication protocols, and microservices architecture.
    • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
    • Knowledge of caching mechanisms and performance optimization techniques is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Git version control.
    • Prior experience in backend development for fintech, e-learning, or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
    Work Mode:
    • Remote and Hybrid options available
    • Flexible hours, volunteer commitment of 5-10 hours per week

      • Provides funding strategies for education CSR, diaspora partnerships, and scholarship opportunities.
      • Develops training programs, certification services, and institutional collaborations.
      • Integrates API services for financial contributions and e-learning management.
      • Implements a content management system (CMS) for course and student management.
      • Develops web and mobile applications to enhance user engagement.
    2. NESA-Africa:

      • Recognizes and honors educational achievements across Africa.
      • Manages awards, media platforms, and membership engagement.
      • Features a content management system (CMS) for nominee profiling and voting.
      • Uses APIs to integrate voting, analytics, and user engagement features.
      • Develops mobile and web-based platforms for award management.
    Under PKIS:
    1. Get Finance Africa (GFA):

      • The online financial management wallet services for running all SCEF-PKIS transaction ecosystems for the first five years of operations.
      • Provides secure payment solutions, escrow services, and financial management tools.
      • API-driven financial transactions, loan management, and secure payment processing.
      • Provides digital wallet and escrow services but is not a fintech or a bank.
      • Supports the development of mobile and web applications for digital financial services.
    2. Get Energy E-commerce:

      • A specialized online marketplace focused on renewable energy products and services.
      • Supports seamless digital transactions with integrated fintech solutions.
      • API-based real-time pricing, inventory updates, and order tracking.
      • Implements a CMS for vendor and product management.
      • Develops e-commerce web and mobile applications to enhance shopping experience.
    3. FM Services:

      • Facilities management services providing operational and maintenance solutions.
      • Integrates automation and API solutions for service requests and workflow optimization.
      • Supports cost-effective and sustainable facility operations.
      • Develops web and mobile applications for facility booking, maintenance tracking, and automation.
