Our Volunteers are the hearts of Heartland Hospice. No task is too big or too small. A skilled team of staff and volunteers cater to the control of medical, social, psychological, and spiritual symptoms of our patients and families living with a terminal illness. Administrative Volunteers help in many ways to complete tasks in the office. There are opportunities to answer phones, call and check in on patients, file, and do other office tasks that are needed. Volunteer work is varied. As a Heartland Hospice volunteer you can donate as much or as little of your time as you desire, we are flexible to meet your scheduling needs. Volunteers come specifically to Heartland Hospice for different reasons. Most volunteers express a desire to "give back" for a kindness they experienced within their lives. Heartland is also looking to recruit volunteers to fill special project roles including weekly readers for reading groups and seasonal activity leaders for patients who live in local facilities.
You have not lived until you have done something for someone who can never repay you!
