    Description

    Objective:

    Brownpreneurs is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Event Assistants to support the planning and execution of our programs and events. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, proactive, and passionate about creating meaningful experiences for young entrepreneurs. Event Assistants will play a key role in ensuring events run smoothly and successfully.

    Time Commitment:

    Varies based on event schedules; support will be needed before, during, and after events.

    Compensation:

    Unpaid (Volunteer)

    Location:

    In-person at event venues in the St. Louis area.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including arranging materials, signage, and seating.
    • Greet and check in guests, speakers, and vendors in a professional manner.
    • Help manage event flow and logistics to ensure a seamless experience.
    • Provide support to speakers, panelists, and attendees as needed.
    • Distribute materials, handouts, and promotional items.
    • Assist with capturing event highlights for social media and marketing.
    • Ensure event spaces are properly maintained and assist with cleanup post-event.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing event needs.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Prior experience in event planning, customer service, or logistics is a plus.
    • Passion for youth entrepreneurship and community development.

    Brownpreneurs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in St. Louis, Missouri. We provide entrepreneurial training for African-American high school and college students in the bi-state area.
